Our customer came to us asking for some advice. They have a large glazed section of bi-folding  doors to the back of their house. They love the doors and didn’t want to change them but have been suffering from excessive heat build up that made the summer months almost unbearable to be indoors. 

Also privacy was an issue due to large glazed areas as at night time they felt lit up and overlooked by neighbours.

Finally they were concerned about security as have seen recent reports of ‘break-ins’ on the news and in social media where the glass has been smashed. 

They wanted to retain their existing doors but address these concerns.

Rayleigh Glass came up with a product that would address all of these concerns whilst being able to retain the existing doors. This ensured a solution could be provided at an affordable cost. 

We supplied and installed Solar control glass, RG Secure laminated security glass and also integral Venetian blinds.
